RIA’s Building Science 2-day course provides students with an in-depth study of different structural building components, their correct assembly, and the relationship between the systems and the intended use of the structure. Topics include foundations, framing, roofing, floor and finish materials, exterior finishes, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, damage investigation, and more. This course provides a comprehensive overview of the different types of constructions and how they interact together to make the structure behave like a system. Restoration professionals will use this understanding to engineer restoration protocols that will be effective and logical.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

RIA’s Project Management 2-day course brings a restoration professional through the full life cycle and flow of a project; from when the phone rings to cashing the check. This course centers around the framework of project management but relates the information back to the industry in a very relevant way that would benefit any project manager. By focusing on the first five steps of a project life-cycle, project initiation, planning, execution, project performance, project close, this relatable course gives students tips and tricks to enhance their understanding of how to think ahead, plan effectively, and manage a well- organized and successful project.
