Our customers are at the heart of their communities- we believe we should be as well.
AnswerForce, the 24/7 service industry-focused answering service, launched its Giving Back program in 2020 at the start of the pandemic. Each month, 1% is donated to communities in need. In the last two years, donations have been made to over 150 food banks across the U.S. and Canada.
Food insecurity has been an ongoing challenge for many years and according to the USDA, in 2020 38.3 million people in the U.S. experienced food insecurity. In addition to unemployment, low-income jobs, and escalating inflation, there are many other situations like lay-offs, break ups, chronic illnesses, and more, that can mean that suddenly there isn’t enough income to pay bills and buy food.
AnswerForce works on a distributed call center model so their customers are supported day and night, 365 days a year, by local receptionists based throughout North America. This means that both their client base and their colleagues are spread out in different states and regions, so helping as many communities as possible has been a goal of the Giving Back program.
Food banks help fight food insecurity at a local level as communities in every region have their own unique challenges. In the past two years, AnswerForce has supported over 150 food banks across all 50 states of the U.S. and more recently, donations have also been made to food banks in Canada following their launch there at the end of 2021.
“These are challenging times for us all. As inflation soars, many who were able to navigate the pandemic are looking to us for assistance as food, fuel, and shelter expenses rise to historic levels,” shares Branna Still, Development Director of the SLO Food Bank. “For this reason, we are tremendously grateful for AnswerForce, their support ensures that our countywide food safety net is strong, resilient, and ready to provide nourishing food for thousands of neighbors in need. Thank you for investing in the health and well-being of San Luis Obispo County.”
As a business that puts people first, AnswerForce is committed to helping both businesses and communities thrive. They are grateful for continued customer support that enables them to be able to keep their Giving Back Program going.
AnswerForce’s Operations Leader, Bethany Ripoyla, said, “When we started the Giving Back initiative, we could only imagine the kind of impact it would have on communities. It is extremely important to us that we are present in communities where our clients reside, as well as in the communities of team members here at AnswerForce. It is crucial that we learn and understand what the current need is and help in any way possible. After talking to food banks across the country, it became abundantly clear that the global pandemic produced an even greater need for help accessing adequate food. To our clients and team members: because of you, these donations are possible. We want you to know you are a part of something bigger than yourselves…”
AnswerForce’s Head of Mattering & Impact, Craig Cockburn, said: At our core, AnswerForce is about human connection. Our goal is to grow our customers’ businesses and help their communities thrive.
People are always at the heart of making this happen. The AnswerForce Giving Back program allows us to support community-level projects. No one can reach their potential if they are thinking about how to put food on the table. We’re proud to support our donation partners across the US and Canada and the extraordinary difference they make in peoples’ lives.
