Stone to build on Actionable Insights’ growing library of membership resources and educational content
Actionable Insights, an educational non-profit institution that specializes in training contractors, adjusters, and property insurance professionals, announced today the appointment of Derek Stone as the new Associate Director of Membership Resources. In his role, Derek will be responsible for developing and curating the educational resources accessible to Actionable Insights’ members and the property insurance industry at large.
Derek brings a wealth of restoration, construction management, and insurance claims experience to Actionable Insights’ leadership team. In his previous roles, Derek’s specialty has revolved around ensuring restoration job sites meet IICRC and OSHA guidelines, managing restoration projects for quality control, and creating and maintaining billing documentation for insurance claims using Xactimate. He holds several Masters Designations and Industry Certifications with the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC).
“We first met Derek in 2018 when we held a training session at the shop where he was based in Indiana. He is a proven expert in his field and a demonstrated master of both Xactimate and Matterport,” said Seth Harrison, Executive Director of Actionable Insights. “Derek has also been a long-time proponent of Actionable Insights and our mission to restore the health of the property restoration ecosystem, making him an excellent fit for this role. We look forward to working with him, especially as it relates to creating and refining the estimating guidance provided within the Actionable Profile.”
Released in October 2022 by Actionable Insights, the Actionable Xactimate Profile is an estimating solution that provides live estimating guidance within Xactimate, helping guide Xactimate users toward a complete and thorough scope of work. The tool aims to give equal credence to both overages as well as omissions, help reduce cycle times, champion a spirit of fairly settled claims, and foster environments of reasonable profits.
Actionable Insights also offers educational training and certification courses, such as the Actionable Insights Matterport Certification (AIMC) training course, an online, self-paced training course designed to certify participants in leveraging Matterport technology. As part of his role, Derek will build on Actionable Insights’ mission of delivering accessible and effective training resources to the industry.
This announcement follows the recent promotion of Cole Marting to Associate Director of Membership Services, where he will be responsible for growing the Insighter network and managing the relationships that Actionable Insights has formed across the claims aisle for almost a decade.
